So Much to Report: Breakfasts, Press, Movie Nights, and More!

Dos Perros lives, we’re happy to report!  As we enter our third week we’ve managed to see record numbers of foodies, dog lovers, cocktail and micro brew fans, and more stream through our doors, even at lunch time, and we can’t thank Durham enough.

Yesterday we hosted a lunch for 25 in our private room, and I want to let other interested parties know that we’re working diligently at getting our wall art and lighting up and just right.  It’s coming together nicely; be sure to poke your head downstairs to take a peek next time you’re in.  Our stretched-canvas pieces should arrive any day now.

Breakfast: So many have been asking us when we’ll start serving breakfast, and believe us, it’s front and center on our radar.  We’re still working out logistics, but within the next month were aiming to open for breakfasts around 7:00 a.m. Mon-Fri.  Weekend hours to expand in the future, as well.

Today in the N&O: And thanks to those who pointed out to us this morning that Greg Cox gave us the front-page nod in this morning’s “Lifestyles” section of the N&O:

I updated our online menus earlier this week, so some of what he listed is available now, other dishes will probably be in rotation soon enough.

Movie Nights: We didn’t really have enough to keep our minds engaged, so while walking the dos perros yesterday, Charlie and I began brainstorming how we’d like movie nights to unfold.  Our cozy downstairs private room holds about 40, and our 60″ HD flat screen is perfect for screening foodie movies (Babette’s Feast, por ejemplo, and others).  More on that as we take more walks.

Let us know your thoughts!
