[...] Dos Perros is a Mexican restaurant in Durham, NC. It’s in the new/old part of downtown – meaning the part that used to be nice but was a wasteland for a while and now is being built up again. The restaurant is great! They have a super selection of margaritas and other tasty drinks – I had the “Buccaneer” (rum, sugar cane syrup, and some other stuff). For dinner I had the “spring vegetable and soy “Mofongo” – I am still unclear as to why Mofongo is in quotation marks (any thoughts?). It was AMAZING!!! And my meat-loving boyfriend even conceded that my dinner was better than his big piece-o-meat! Now I’m keen to recreate the dish – any suggestions for Mofongo recipes?! Please and thanks! [...]

Shanda- for a sit-down even, 75 is a bit bigger than we can do. The room really just fits about 60 people, and that’s admittedly a bit snug. So, if a few can’t make it…

We don’t sell tickets but reservations are very strongly encouraged. Both because there’s a limited number of seats available and both because we prepare food based on the number we expect. Every now and then we’re able to squeeze in a last minute table, but sometimes we can’t.

Thank you very much for providing such outstanding vegan options at Dos Perros- it is by far my favorite restaurant in Durham! I was thrilled last night to try a vegan version of the relleno (thanks to your chef!), and the vegan sorbet (was it chili lime?) was a perfect ending. Please keep up the phenomenal work!
